How does ETWAN swarm detection work?

ETWAN swarm detection requires a scale on the hive. An alert fires when weight drops suddenly and the drop is sustained, during swarm season (March–August), between 07:00 and 19:00 local time, with a 24-hour cooldown per hive.

What triggers the hive collapse alert in ETWAN?

The hive health alert fires when HVS shows the colony needs urgent attention. HVS is a 0–100 score updated automatically. The alert resolves when the score improves.

What delivery channels does ETWAN support for alerts?

ETWAN supports email, SMS (Polish +48 numbers after verification), and push (BZYK app). Each alert type can use its own channel mix. At least one channel must stay on per alert type.

How does ETWAN know when a gateway has gone offline?

ETWAN determines gateway offline status based on the gateway's configured reporting mode. Each gateway has a scheduled check-in interval (from 3 minutes in Turbo mode to over 10 hours in Ultra Power Saving mode). If a gateway misses its expected check-in by a calculated grace period, the offline alert fires. Slower reporting modes give a longer grace period before alerting — this prevents false alerts from normal deep-sleep cycles.

What are quiet hours in ETWAN?

Quiet hours are a configurable window during which non-urgent ETWAN notifications are held and delivered after the window ends. Quiet hours are enabled by default and run from 22:00 to 07:00. You can change the start and end time, or disable quiet hours entirely in Account → Notifications. Recovery alerts (when a condition resolves) may still be delivered during quiet hours.

Does ETWAN send a notification when an alert resolves?

Yes. All critical and system alerts in ETWAN resolve automatically. When the condition clears — a sensor comes back online, a hive health score improves, an anomaly reading returns to normal — ETWAN sends a recovery notification through the same channels configured for that alert type.

Which ETWAN plan includes swarm detection and hive health alerts?

Push, email and SMS alerts start on Hobby (5 PLN). HVS and swarm detection require Hobby Smart (10 PLN) or higher. Hobby Smart LTE (15 PLN) adds an LTE gateway with SIM. The free plan has no alerts.

What is the sensor anomaly alert in ETWAN?

The sensor anomaly alert fires when a temperature, humidity, or weight reading from a hive sensor is statistically unusual compared to that hive's recent history. ETWAN compares the current reading against a rolling baseline built from the hive's own data — not fixed thresholds. A separate alert fires per metric, so you know whether it is a temperature, humidity, or weight anomaly. Each alert resolves automatically when the reading returns to normal range.
